OK lets start off with Clay and I. We are doing well. Clay is still with the same company. It's going ok, I think he's getting tired of the drama that goes on there, but other than that he still likes what he does. I am still at home with the kids, which is good during the winter months of sickness.
McKilie is in what you would technically call second grade. She is being taught at home. She was adamant that she wasn't going to school, so I decided to try home schooling her for a year, to see how it goes. So far she loves it.
Dakota is in kindergarten, and loves it. She likes her teacher, and has made some new friends already. She just celebrated her 6th birthday. I was able to meet with her teacher, who had nothing but wonderful things to say about her. She was really impressed with how quickly she's picked up on things, and how well behaved she is. Lets just hope she continues to love it. LOL
Kason is becoming such a little man. He mastered potty training (well at least during the day) this last year. He has also learned to sleep in his own bed all night long! And for those of you who know us well, know what a feat that is! He always tells me he is getting big just like his daddy! He loves to play and to do home school just like his sisters, even if it's just coloring! He has also just started to enjoy nursery, finally. He now goes, but still has some trouble at first. But by the time I pick him up, he's telling me how much fun it was.
Bridger, oh sweet Bridger! He is now 16 months old, and all over the place. He is such a mischievous little boy. He loves to climb, and if anyone leaves a chair pulled out at the table, he will find it in a matter of seconds. He is quick too. He loves everyone, and has actually started to go to nursery with his big brother. Which is very helpful to mom, since she has to teach in the primary. He does pretty well, for being the smallest in there. He has just recently been seen by the Early Intervention Program here, and it has been discovered (not that mom didn't already suspect it) that he has a speech delay. He is at the 6 to 9 month level, so almost a full 10 months behind. Of course I'm sure some of that has to do with him being so preemie, and then doing all the physical stuff so early. They also evaluated his gross and fine motor skills and found that he is some where between his actual age and his adjusted age. For those of you who don't know, his actual age, is his age based on when he was born, and his adjusted age is based on when he should have been born. So he's actually 16 months, but his adjusted age is only 13 1/2 months. For his gross and fine motor he is at the 15 month level, which they were very impressed with. They also checked his hearing and vision, and both came out to be perfect!
My what a year it has been. I still can't believe that just over a year ago, I was bringing Bridger home from the hospital. Seems like forever ago.
Ok I just wanted to give those of you who still actually read this an update, kind of let you all know what has been going on. I will post some of our most recent family photos as well.
